Local Recognition
College Scholarships
We are pleased to award scholarships annually to young women seeking higher education. We honor high school senior girls, one from each local high school in Boone County (Western Boone, Lebanon and Zionsviille). If interested in applying, applications can be found with the guidance counselor at your school. We also honor a woman over the age of 25 who is resuming or beginning college. Please download, print and complete the 2 documents below and return to the address listed in the application by April 22.
Technology Scholarship
In honor of Zonta's 100th birthday in 2019, we are offering a Technology Scholarship to a woman of any age, pursuing a technology degree or closely related program or who is pursuing continued advancement in technology. Please review qualifications by downloading the form and apply by May 17 if eliigible. |
International Recognition
Amelia Earhart Fellowship
Amelia Earhart was a record-breaking aviation pioneer, women's rights advocate, Purdue faculty counselor to women interested in aviation, and a Zontian! This scholarship is eligible to women
pursuing a Ph.D./doctoral degree record in the field of aerospace-related sciences or aerospace-related engineering. Applicants must be registered in a full-time Ph.D./doctoral program when funds are received in September and will not graduate before April 2015. Applications must be received by November. Jane Klausman was a member of the Zonta Club of Syracuse, New York and a Zonta International Parliamentarian. The scholarship is awarded annually to women pursuing undergraduate or master's degrees in business management. To apply, please contact the Zonta club nearest you. Young Women in Public Affairs Scholarship
The YWPA Award recognizes young women for their demonstrated leadership skills and commitment to public service and civic causes and encourages them to continue their participation in public and political life. Students between 16-19 are eligible and considered if:
